Coat of Arms (2022)

Private commission by, the former Prime Warden of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers

Carved Brackets, Carved Mouldings and Carved Capitals (2022)

Private commission. I was commissioned to reconstruct the door case of a 17th century entrance situated on No.2 Wilkes street in Spitalfields, London. The original carving disappeared or it was totally destroyed during the 70s and the restoration was mainly based on the old photographs that can be seen on the Restorations page.

The door case was fully carved and reattached to the original remaining parts; the two columns and the top panel in the middle.

A Grotesque relief (2022)

As part of my third year project whilst studying at City & Guilds of London Art School, I made this sculptural relief first using clay and then to cast I used Jesmonite. The work measured 43cm (width) x 73 cm (height).

Scrolled Rococo ornament (2021)

Carved in Lime wood, 22cm (width) x 54cm (height)

17th Century frame (2023)

Private commission. The frame was created from a running cornice and it was left incomplete having missing corners due to its design after it mitred to form the frame. After consulting with the client we decided it would be great to continue with the same design for the corner that will make the frame look in a great shape but also well consolidated.

Restored Frame (2023)

Private commission. For this frame I restored it with new carved corners. The right colour was applied onto them after, using a traditional method by using water based colours and pigments to match the right colour match with the rest of the frame.

‘The art of wood carving is not limited to a particular lifestyle or subject. From traditional to contemporary approaches, wood carving offers endless possibilities for self expression. Whether capturing the essence of nature through intricate animal carvings or paying homage to cultural heritage with ornate relief sculptures, every carving has a story to tell, embedded in its lines and curves.’
